01 / Our story

It began with
Cliff Evans.

1980Freedom Outreach Ministries
was founded.

In 1980, Cliff Evans started Freedom Outreach Ministries. That beginning is part of who we are: a non-denominational ministry ministering before, during and after incarceration.

Mel and Pam Gipson joined Freedom Outreach Ministries in 1995 and traveled with Cliff Evans for ten years. In 2005, Cliff went home to be with the Lord. For thirty-one years, Mel and Pam have continued going into prisons to minister in chapel services and teach faith-based classes.
